The UK-SEA Vax Hub is founded with three key missions in mind:

Diversifying vaccine manufacturing geographically to meet local demands and enhance vaccination uptake in South East Asia;

Enabling equitable and timely access of affordable and quality-assured vaccines to elevate public health security in South East Asia;

Creating a robust and sustainable vaccine manufacturing ecosystem that encourages local manufacturers to partake actively in producing routine vaccines and increase adaptability to new technologies to address current and future pandemics/epidemics in South East Asia;

All partners meeting in Bangkok
Chulalongkorn University will host the all partners meeting, bringing together partners and key stakeholders. The aim is to foster collaborative efforts geared towards strengthening South East Asia's preparedness for pandemics and advancing regional vaccine manufacturing capabilities.
New Funding Secured!
Prof. Tuck Seng Wong, Dr. Kang Lan Tee, and Prof. Kiat Ruxrungtham have secured funding from the International Science Partnership Fund (ISPF) Institutional Support Grant, administered by Research England. The grant will support the development of antigen and VLP banks, alongside the development of an mRNA-based HPV therapeutic vaccine.

Rachel Park serves as the Director for International Business at EuBiologics (South Korea) and holds a position on the board of the Developing Countries Vaccine Manufacturing Network (DCVMN).

Esteemed Appointment to Advisory Board: Prof. Drew Weissman
Renowned for his groundbreaking work in nucleoside base modifications leading to the development of effective mRNA vaccines against COVID-19, Prof. Drew Weissman, the recipient of the 2023 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, will now contribute his expertise to the advisory board of the UK-SEA Vax Hub.
